The 8370 is a slightly OC'd 8350. Buy the 8350, save a couple $$ and just overclock it. Also change your motherboard to the Gigabyte 990fxa UD3. Spend the money you'd saved on an IPS monitor if possible. Remove the terrible headphones and speakers you've put in this build. If you'd like me to redo this build a bit I'd be happy to, PM me with your skype.

Right now, the 8350 is more expensive than the 8370. Also, I have those headphones and speakers already and I think they sound fine.

That's okay then. Go ahead dude then, more power to you. Like I said, IDK AU pricing so you be the judge. The build will work :)

i have better speakers than that laying in my basement somewhere.

ditch the SSD. the only thing it'll give you is faster boot which isn't a necessity, and then get a 2TB HDD for like 90 bucks. personally I'd get a 970 and a i3 processor, especially with broadwell coming out next year as an upgrade potential. you don't really 8 cores for a gaming only computer, 4 at most.

The faster boot and load time is a necessity for me since I am impatient and don't like waiting for things. I don't need 2tb HDD because I don't have too many files. The 290x is about as fast as the 970.

Also, I can overclock my FX so that it beats the i3 in gaming and destroys it in everything else. An FX overclocked high enough(>4.8Ghz)is about as fast as an i7 in everything but single-threaded workloads.
