Constructive criticism please. AMD Build. Thinking of water cooling the videocard as well.

Estimated wattage: 643. On a CX (not the best by any means) 750. It seriously isn't up to the job. Do not build that rig with that power supply, really.

:P thats one of the reasons I recommended a intel build it reduces the estimated wattage by about 100W. Which should give him some headroom for OC.

Might as well go Intel when on that budget. Unless you have a specific reason for AMD. The Single threaded performance is simply too weak on the FX line compared to an Unlocked i5. Compare Intel's 22nm to AMD's 32.

If you really like the idea of moar cores you can easily fit the i7 in there if you sacrifice a bit on cooling and/or storage.

Thank you. Can you suggest a list with an i7 onboard?

Is what I managed to do.

Intel is MASSIVELY cooler than the AMD build so you can also cut down on the cooler if you want to go back to 4TB of storage.

Also I forgot to mention: If you don't care much for overclocking there are equivalent Xeons.

Can you do a Xeon build as well? And which is better an i7 or a xeon?

The E3 Xeons are simply i7s (Non K) without Integrated graphics and some server/workstation bits glued on.

I'd only recommend them if you want to keep cutting on the price without sacrificing much performance.
