Thoughts on this build for a Gaming PC?

So I am trying to build a gaming PC with games like Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Carmageddon Reincarnation, Divinity Original Sign, LA Noire and others in mind. I'm generally a Mac person these days, and the last PC I built was back in 2004-5 time (Shuttle PC, AMD 2800+, Nvidia GTX 6600) so I'm very rusty when it comes to this.

I have gone with a 512GB SSD because I want storage space and I dislike HDD's (I leave those for my Drobo). Sensibly I should probably go for the 256GB version to save a few Euro's. I have a 512GB Samsung 830 SSD in my MacBook Pro and it has been perfect, hence going with Samsung again.

The PSU added here is cheaper for me from Cyberport (in Germany) than indicated in the price lists. Some of the other possibilities they don't have in stock.

I do have a bias towards Nvidia for GFX cards, I always have. So honestly I am not really considering a Radeon card.

In an ideal world I'd love to splurge more and get the i7-4790k, a GTX 980 card, and more RAM but that would take me out of my rough budget (~€1250/£1000/$????)
