This would be my second build. The first went pretty good. One thing that annoys me now is the case. It is tool free, which hasn't allowed me to tightly secure the video card (I don't care about how it looks). Also, I may have either gotten a bad MB or I damaged it with ESD (I didn't wear an ESD wrist band) or my second stick of memory is just bad, but I get BSOD every time I put my second stick of memory in. Despite that it has been working pretty good for over two years now.
I have been considering doing a second build, but I am fairly cheap, and do not know if I would get much value out of upgrading now or maybe I should just wait another year. I mostly use it for general stuff and playing year old games (because they are cheaper).
Current System: AMD FX 4170, AS Rock 990fx Extreme 3, 4GB of Ram, Radeon HD 7850 1GB of VRAM, 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD
Proposed system: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9qK2ZL
I have thought about just buying another stick of ram and using the PC for another year, but I wonder if the 1GB of VRAM is starting to become a limiting factor.
Thanks all for your input!
