Is this a solid music production build?

Below is my parts list that I put together over the past few days for a music production workstation that i want to use for running lots of plugins and loading / using a lot of samples. What I'm looking to do is to

-Run upwards of at least 80-100 moderately to very CPU intensive plugins at a time by the end of a project -Reduce latency to a minimum when doing live recordings -Have a firewire input for an external sound card / audio interface -Keep the whole setup as quiet as possible

-In the future, edit some quality videos from a GoPro, but that's the least important right now

I've never built a computer so I'd like to hear some opinions about what I've put together and how efficient it is, whether or not there are any problems with the compatibility of the parts, or if there are any changes that you would make if you've had experience building a PC for this purpose (It seems most people are building gaming computers in this forum, but any knowledge is helpful).

What is your max budget? It seems like building a xeon based workstation would be best for you. Let me know a budget and I will see what I can do.

I was kinda pushing it at $1,600, but I could go up to a little more than $2,000 without including a monitor, but I only want to do that if there's going to be a big jump in performance from the list I have now.

Thanks for for the post

Especially for speciality activities like music or video production, I think its important you leave enough space in your budget for software. Its great to have the best hardware but if you then skimp out and use free or low price programs, it defeats the purpose of this great build.

Building a specialized computer is just the beginning of a long list that I have for software and external hardware that I'm looking at. The Universal Audio Apollo audio interface (sound card) that I'm set on is $2,000 alone, so I do want to stay as far below my budget as I can so that I will be able to make other upgrades to my setup as soon as I can.
