The first build is much better. One thing i would change would be the motherboard on the first build. Grab a z97 motherboard. It has a better upgrade path allowing you to grab a k series cpu later.

Oh sorry i opened the links the wrong way around. The build with the r9 280 is much better. The 280 is much more powerful then the 750 ti. But you should still grab a z97 board with that one aswell.

The Sapphire Radeon R9 280 is only £5 more than the 270X on Amazon at the moment. For some reason PCPartPicker doesn't register that it exists.
