Moving From Laptop After Decade+.

Hello, here is a build which is almost entirely based on the "Superb" fields from Logical Increments. 1) The RAM is not available anywhere. I just noticed this, the build was okay last week. Suggestions welcome. 2) I am a graphic designer -- the monitor is a "starter" and theoretically I'm going to get a better one in a year or two ... then they can both be friends. 3) Not much of a gamer -- I'll be getting GTA V but that's about it for the year, other than things like Journey/Monument Valley. 4) Haven't built a PC in over 15 years. 5) Looking to stay at this price or drop, but an extra 10-20 bucks here and there isn't going to kill me. Thank you in advance for your help.

I heard some people complain about overclocking on 970 chipset. 990 would be more preferable. Also an 8-core 8320 would be better for editing and won't bottleneck your gpu. For the ram just go with any decent sticks. G.Skill Ripjaws are pretty good, Kingson Fury are nice as well. What you want is 1600mhz with cas latency of 9.

  • The Western Digital "Green" series is intended for storage, not act as primary drive.
