Overkill Water Cooled Gaming/Workstation PC

PC_Noob_9000

I am planning on getting this PC in a few months to handle triple 1440p monitors. I will be heavily overclocking it. Will this PC work? I am a total noob at watercooling so I don't really know if everything will work together. Note: The gentle typhoons are the radiator fans and the Noctuas are the case fans.

It this partlist doesn't work, I would appreciate if someone fixed it so it would.

If you say "a few months", then you'll probably better off waiting for May/June (around that time) for the new graphics cards that both AMD and Nvidia has to offer. Of course, it depends on how overkill you want. There's also the fact that you don't really need something as a sound card because most of surround sound systems would use the optical connector, so you an free yourself for an eventual extra GPU.

There's also the fact that you are actually wasting M.2 ports.

Thanks for the advice. I'll probably get one of those if they are out by the time i get it.

I don't know anythinga about watercooling, other than it looks complete, you have water block, radiator, pump, etc.

3 980s is too much. 2 980s will suffice. To be honest, I really see this entire build as sort of "I have lots of money I'm going to waste it on overkill parts that aren't value-friendly and deliver just about slightly more performance than something around $4000.

EDIT: I wasn't done yet lol. You don't need a 5960X, and will do fine with a 4790K.

The motherboard is too overkill. Again, if you get a Haswell 4790K, you'll be fine with a $150 motherboard that delivers just about the same features as a $450 one.

I'm not sure how you're approaching this, but you have headphones- and speakers. This is sort of weird I believe because you're hearing two sounds at the same time? Wat

Hope this helps!

You don't need 3 1440p monitors. If you are so overkill you can get away with slightly more expensive monitors, even 3 ROG SWIFTs, but those cost a fortune to buy and are only for the serious gamer.

I removed the speakers. I will add a surround sound system. This build is meant to be overkill and completely impractical. It's just a status symbol that won't game much better than my current PC(i7-5820k and 2 GTX 980's.)

So you're using it to basically show off? XD
