Get cheaper RAM and an Air Cooler. If the CM 212 Evo will fit, that'd be the best. Otherwise look into the CM Sedion. Both coolers are highly rated and will be more than enough with the 4790k. That should drop $90 bucks. If that's still not enough... grab an R9 290 instead of the 970. There's a 3% performance difference with the 970 barely winning. that should be another $60-$90 of savings.

The Video card is normally on better promotions. I usually see the Saphire 290 (Best one) for about 260-280.
