Looking to build a monster data cruncher to crunch data for seti@home 24/7. (some analytical biology work as well). No Gaming done. Please check it out and comment on whether you think its the best way to go. This will be a minimum component build initially with additional components added over 1-2 yrs. CPU: xeon e5 2630 v3 (1 initially add 2nd later) cooler: corsair H100i MB: asrock x99 WS Memory: Ripjaws series 4 16GB DDR4 Storage: samsung 850 Pro 512 GB. (1 initially, build up to approx 9 in raid setup over time) GPU: Evga Geforce GTX 980 Pro. (1 initially, add an extra 3 over time) Case: Corsair Obsidian 900D (Overkill to start, but will get filled with goodies eventually, also has space for 2nd PSU) PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W. (add a 2nd when enough additional components are added) OS: windows 8.1
