im new to liquid cooling so should i get a fan instead?

AIO coolers are pretty plun-n-play. They are easier to install than large air coolers most of the time. If you are considering an H100i, I recommend that you also look at the Cooler Master Nepton 240M, the NZXT Kraken X41 (single fan 140mm, but runs cooler than the H100i due to a thick radiator), and the Enermax ELC-LT240-HP. All of the coolers I listed are higher quality than the Corsair unit.
