Old PSU Suitable for New R9 290?

Hi, I recently bought XFX's R9 290 DD to replace my old graphics card and I believe my current PSU is rated too low for it. My current PSU is 500W and PCPartPicker says I have an estimated wattage of 428. The packaging recommends at least 750W.

I have a PSU from my old build that I would like to use but I'm not sure if it's suitable because it's pretty old. It's the Thermaltake toughpower W0105RU 700W. Despite it's age, would it be a good PSU for my build?

Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LDcHsY

Thanks

the manufacturer recommends a 750 watt but in theory you need a minimum of 650 watts psu. The R9 290 requires 31 Amps and that psu has 56.
