Estimated wattage is 292 and this guy is 430.
But every similar build I see is 500+.
I have this power supply, so i would save money by not upgrading.
yep 430 should be fine for a 960
It's cutting it close. Don't over clock anything... 500w is a much better option
if i were to upgrade, would i stop at 500? Or should i just future proof at 600+ ?
More is better for the most part... Future proofing could take you reasonably to 750w, more than that likely would be pointless. 500w is the minimum recommended for even low power gpus, and 600w would be good for a nice future proofing as it can run MOST gpus and still handle over clocking... Just don't use an amd 280 or above on it, though Nvidia is fine even for a 980 on 600w. So long story short, I'd aim around 600w roughly unless a good 750w just happened to cost less on a sale (it happens now and then)
if you dont plan to go for SLI in future 430W is enough easily,
but if you go for SLI i would say go for 550w-600W
The CX430 isn't Haswell compatible.
Decent power supply.430 watts is enough.
