Will this older 800W work?

I've got a 800W PSU out of an older desktop that worked last time I tried it on the old desktop. It has lots of sata connectors. It's a BFG brand.

I just bought a budget AMD build A10-5800k liquid cooler gigabyte mATX a88 mobo crucial SSD gskill 2x4 ram viotek mid case

I plan on overclocking the APU too if that makes any difference. I know 800w is way more than I need but it was a free PSU. If it's really not recommended, I've seen some evga 400-500 on eBay for 25 bucks

BFG had several different OEMs and quality varied.

Most BFG power supplies are poor quality , purchase something newer that will also run more efficiently.
