New to building computers... need help with OS

I am building a new comp (obv) but I havent bought an optical drive. Do I need to invest into one for the intial install of Windows 8 or is there a work around to not having a disc drive

Create a bootable Windows 8 USB flash drive. With that said, that ends my contribution to this topic since I'm not a regular Win8/8.1 user. Plenty of tutorials available in the internet.

Just install windows 8 using USB Drive.
