i was wondering if i could replace just one case fan so it could have red leds. could i just put this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-fan-co9050016rled instead of the one already in there? my case is an nzxt phantom 530.

Yes, but you'd probably be better off either putting it in one of the case's empty slots (in the bottom as an intake would be a good idea) since you'd be replacing a bigger fan (1x140mm and 1x200mm build into the case, and if you replaced one with a 120mm, you''d get less airflow) or just buying separate LEDs.
