Im upgrading some parts and want to get a low profile cpu cooler for my i7 4790k. Right now Im liking the Noctua NH-L9i. Is there anything better than that for under $50 on newegg?

What about this Phanteks super low profile cooler

May i ask what kind of case do you have? Maybe if you don't have a case like the Raven RVZ01, I can also recommend the Cryorig H7(If you have a case like the Raven RVZ01 then disregard this).

Also if you don't plan to overclock, then why get an aftermarket cooler at all? Stock should be good enough.

Im going to be getting the Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid Tower.

That cooler is too weak for i7, that cooler is rated for a maximum of 65 watts TDP.

why would you want to use a low profile cooler in that case?? As vagabond pointed out the NH-L9i is weak for the 4790k... The NH-L9x65 is a better (not the best) option.

You will not be able to overclock with any of this coolers.

If you are not planning for overclocking then cooler is not required.

What...

I hate it when you buy a case that doesn't come with fans and you have to pack the case with ice.

You still need a CPU cooler anyway...
