Advice for Recording Gameplay on my New PC?

Hello there. I'm not a regular of this site, I get that. But I would really like advice to start recording Fallout gameplay. I could really use some advice on it. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely sure where to ask. I hope this suffices. Perhaps one of you might be able to help me out? If not, maybe at least direct me to someone or somewhere where I might get some assistance?

So, anyway. I've just built a new PC so that I may be able to play Fallout New Vegas pretty heavily modded (there were other reasons too, but this was a tantalizing one). I would like to record gameplay while playing it, and this is a first for me. I would like to have dual-live commentary in this recording with an off-site friend of mine. By that I mean, I would like for a way for my friend to see and talk about the game I am playing, all live. As in, we both see the game. We both talk about the game. In real time. While I play it. And it is all recorded.

This being my first time trying to do this, you might think I'm being a bit ambitious. And that is true. I have no idea what programs to use to get this to work. I've done some research, and perhaps I can use fraps/dxtory in conjunction with skype/teamviewer? I'm not sure. I need some advice on what programs to use and what setup to do.

My new PC has a SSD and two additional hard drives, with an i7, and 16 GB of RAM, plus blah blah yada yada. (I'm not sure if my hardware specs will help at all, but there's some of it if that is the case. Oh, also I'm reusing a turtle beach headset for the mic, if that works.)

If one of you could assist me at all, I will be very much grateful. I'm not sure what I can do to repay the debt, but alert me and I shall do my best so I can.

Thank you for your time.

Ok so I'm no pro at this but seing you haven't had a reply yet I'll try help.

Ok so here is a list of free recording software. Some have a built in on screen cam feature and the first one has a ''gaming'' mode.

For live chat with your friend I'd use skype and either stream your gameplay to him privately or use skype to send your screen happenings to him.

To be fair it's going to be a pretty simple process that a few google searches will sort out in no time.

Thank you I appreciate it. I'll take a look at the recording software. The streaming privately part is still something I don't understand. At this point, I'm planning on just testing a bunch of different ones to see which works with my friend.

The problem you're going to encounter with this no matter what program you use is latency issues. Your friend will more than likely be behind a few seconds. It may not seem a lot but say you covered a fast paced game such as titanfall. A lot can happen in 5 seconds.

If possible, you should use a high-end remote desktop software like splashtop + a good voice software like mumble for communicating with your friend while you play the game, but you also might consider Google Hangouts as a potentially more "all-in-one" solution: https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1660627?hl=en

For streaming while doing this, I recommend OBS, with your encoder set to use the i7's QuickSync technology.
