I was in the verge of buying parts for my first ever gaming PC. I have learn alot by just hanging in forums here in pcpartpicker. But the thing is i'm still stuck on choosing between AMD and INTEL for my specs. I need some advice on which is better between these two combinations?

Intel i5-3570k + Asus z77-v LK OR AMD Fx- 8350 + Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

I have researched that these parts are like the best bang for your buck but i still can't decide on it. Enlighten me please :) PS. MID-RANGE GAMER here.

Intel i5, no contest.

i have that processor, i can vouch for its power, it handles anything i throw at it and its paired with a far lower end GPU and still pulls 50-60 fps on planetside 2 on high

So if i go to intel, is the asus z77 v lk good for it?
