would you take a thermaltake tr2 600 psu for free or a slightly used antec true power 750w psu?

A buddy of mine is offering a brand new thermaltake tr2 600w psu for free. Basically he ordered one. it said it was delivered, but didn't show up. had them re-order it, one showed up, then another showed up two days later.

A buddy IM buying a case off is throwing the Antec true power 750w psu in for free.

My build will be consisting of an I-5 4690k(probably not going to do overclocking), Gigabyte z97x mobo, a gtx 970 gpu, an evo 212 cpu cooler. I calculated the watts needed, and It was in the 400 range.

Or should I skip them both and get something else? if so, what do you recommend?

Thanks.

The Antec True Power Classic series were manufactured by Seasonic, and even factoring in general wear and tear of use, it should still be good. Provided it was not unusually abused. e.g. Terrible wiring at your friend's home with constant power fluctuations or such.

whether it's the true power classic or true power new, it's a good or very good psu and way better than the TR2. all the TR2 are subpar or outright crap. don't use the TT in your pc, not in your main pc anyway.
