does anyone know if a Asus strix 980 will fit in Aerocool ds cube ?

length shouldn't be a problem, its just the height im concerned about.

because of the way the motherboard is oriented "horizontally" I don't see a problem with any height, the problem in this case would be the length of the card.... look at the pictures

edit:

the 980 strix is around 135mm (5.3 inches) tall

worst case scenario removing the cage on top

Sorry, I should of been more specific. I forgot to mention that I don't want to remove the 5.25" cage, I only want to remove the 3.5" cage......

..length won't be a problem as aerocool mentions on there site that you have 320mm room for length, and the Asus gpu is just shy of 290mm

Thanks for the advice :)

i know the MSI 970 & 980 fit, its just the asus strix is a bit of a optical illusion, the top of the card is pretty high above the pci-e slot. looks higher then the MSI

I know that different manufacturers sometimes have different ways of measuring but the MSI 970 is 141mm tall which is taller than the asus strix which is 135mm. The MSI 980 is 140mm tall. The MSI 970 is one of the tallest "970" as it wont fit inside the corsair air 240, so lets assume you shouldn't have problems then.
