The Cm is the better bet.

Whilst Seasonic make good power supplies they aren't all great. The m12II series especially the 620w is good but nothing special. The CM vanguard series is a great series of power supplies and the extra wattage is always welcome. Contrary to questionmaster's affirmation it is not fully modular only Semi modular just like the CM. Over all the CM is the better option.

questionmaster was saying the seasonic M12 620 was fully modular, which in the case of the linked unit is true. newegg has the tightest info and specs on the products they list, amazon is not too sharp with that. the unit linked is the M12II EVO, which is fully modular. the V700 is also fully modular. the V700, V850 and V1000 are seasonic KM3 based and the V1200 is XP3.

the V700 is also fully modular.

What the CM? No..... it's semi modular. See here

And as for the Seasonic. I forgot that it was the 650w version that's semi modular.

you mean here. there is a version of the M12II 620 that is semi modular. that's the one in the picture on amazon, but the model number is for the EVO, which is fully modular. it replaced the other model a while back.

Ohh.... We don't have that 700w version in Australia. My bad.

there is a version of the M12II 620 that is semi modular. that's the one in the picture on amazon, but the model number is for the EVO, which is fully modular.

Oh okay.

did Godzlegend actually imply the whole V series was semi modular? it looks like he implied the M12II is semi modular just like the V750, no more, no less. incorrect anyway as amazon hasn't listed the right image or name for that seasonic psu. and the V700 is fully modualr. the V700 and V750 (VSM) are two different power supplies.
