A seriously amazing MOBO, so happy that I went with this board. The reset, CMOS, power button, and LED display really helped me through the initial startup, and makes it so incredibly easy to make changes and fix errors. Not to mention the longer warranty of 5-years compared to the standard 3-year, AND the 178 hours of testing these boards go through at Gigabyte's server center in Taiwan before even being shipped out for sale to ensure quality. An amazing beyond amazing board, prompting me to forever be a Gigabyte fan.
Solid motherboard - nothing exciting, black. Peace of mind with the durability test and 5 year warranty - worth the extra 10-15 quid for me.
ultra Durable board. plenty of Sata 6gb/s ports with option for Sata E. 4 usb 3.0 with two mid-board. 7.1 channel audio with optical as well. PCI x16 running at x16 x8 and x4 with 2 x1 and 2 PCI (if you got something out of an old PC that you can use). M.2 support for whenever it becomes reasonable to get. All in all this board is rated at the top for a reason and for $300 paired with an I5 3790k. I don't see how I could have made a better choice.
Has every feature you could ask for in 2015/16. Can't tell what the future holds but this will last me quite some time for now.
Solid buy overall. I like the conservative looks, features, and solid durability with its 5-day test guarantee. It's myriad of USB 3.0 ports are nice, and the dual Ethernet jacks might come in handy sometime. However, I find the software Gigabyte has created for it (and its other boards) to be absolutely abominable, with broken English and bugs everywhere. I will be trying out another brand next time around because of that. Still, this board serves my purposes and I can avoid the software well enough.
