Metallic red accents, and a clean aesthetic. Overclocks well.

This board is very beautiful in person. Pictures cant do it justice. The PCI-E slots are very rigid and the board feels very quality all round. My only complaint can be awkward placement of the fan headers. The AF fan harnesses are barely long enough to reach the headers to the bottom of the board. But then again, this could be an issue with the fan harnesses being too short.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews about MSI. They complain of QC issues, but perhaps this could be the consumer that handles the product inappropriately, and then blames MSI for it. I'm a fan of MSI for life! Although, MSIs software needs a swift kick to the..... :>

    MSI Z170A Gaming M7

    HardOCP Review- MSI Z170A

After choosing the MSI Graphics card, doing research on HardOCP led me to an MSI Motherboard that sounded legit. I liked the idea of the SSD M2 slot being away from the graphics card slot. The BIOS Screens are good. I replaced my old 3.5 inch floppy drive with a 4 port USB drive and connected it to a Fast charge USB connector on the motherboard that allows devices to be charged faster. It seems to work good.

The Realtek 7.1 sound works great with my Creative labs 7.1 speaker system. The software is great and allows customization.

The Killer NIC lan connection is solid.

All in all a fine board and the red color scheme matches my memory sticks and the graphics card.

I haven't had any issue with this board. The only reason I knocked a star off is due to the fact that it only has 2 USB 2.0 headers. I wish it had 3 so I could hook up all my peripherals.

MSi's motherboard's are gorgeous first of all, and I knew from the beginning that I'd go with an MSi mobo and gfx card combo, because the colors would match perfectly with what I wanted the build to end up looking like. That's not to say that this board isn't packed with features though. The shielded PCIe ports and M.2 support is nice, even if I didn't actually end up using one of those. (Spoilers, it's the M.2.) However, it could really use a few extra USB ports, not a deal breaker, but mildly annoying nonetheless. Still, I seriously can't get over the design of this thing. Red and Black is the only way to go for me!

Quote possibly the nicest mobo I could have bought. It matched the red/black theme as well.

    from completed build 2187

So many features I'm looking forward to upgrading to in the future. Most notably the M.2 slots. Didn't know it had red LEDs until I first tested it.

Easily the best overclocking experience I've had on a mobo. Increased 30% speeds within 20 minutes.
