Easily the best overclocking experience I've had on a mobo. Increased 30% speeds within 20 minutes.
Quote possibly the nicest mobo I could have bought. It matched the red/black theme as well.
Has 2 HDMI and 1 DVI outputs, they should have just kept one of those and added more USB ports in the back. Other than that it's a great board easy to use and install. SATA ports are twice as fast as my old pc! There are audio pops when you use the software that came with it. But using Razer orNvidia sound drivers fix the issue.
Lots of features, most I don't think I need or use. Out of the box requires drivers, i.e Realtek, to be installed. I do not like the onboard audio so I am using a Sabrent USB Audio Stereo Sound Adapter until I can get a nice dac/amp and like it a lot better. Would have gone with Asus but this was cheaper.
Amazing motherboard so far, works great, lots of extras, super smooth install and great look, glad i chose this one (was thinking M5 initially but saw a bunch of reviews about install issues so went for the M7 and I don't regret it !)
So many features I'm looking forward to upgrading to in the future. Most notably the M.2 slots. Didn't know it had red LEDs until I first tested it.
This thing has way more stuff than I probably needed. But it looks very sharp with my MSI R9 390! I had zero issues with any hardware or XMP setup (unlike lots of people reviewing this across the web). Highly recommended!
I always do a red build (I did black this time), so I almost feel like this should have been my board. I like it, our server has an MSI Z97S Krait, and the bios feels very familiar. I like how it tells you what changes have been made when saving in bios. Plasitc I/O shield being bolted and needing to be unbolted before installation made me scratch my head for a second. Really, no complaints, MSI made a great board.
I don't really know how to review a motherboard but it is as good as it gets. Easy to use BIOS and enough USB slots for me.
This board is very beautiful in person. Pictures cant do it justice. The PCI-E slots are very rigid and the board feels very quality all round. My only complaint can be awkward placement of the fan headers. The AF fan harnesses are barely long enough to reach the headers to the bottom of the board. But then again, this could be an issue with the fan harnesses being too short.
