This mainboard has all the main features you'd want and some red led lights here and there.
The BIOS has some great OC features, which are usable for beginners.
Not much to say, more than enough ports, it also has 4 4-pin Fan headers which is very useful :) It also has some cool red leds down the sides which give it a little spark, so far no problems with the mobo.
overall a great Z270 board. I got it on sale and I have been pretty happy with it. I am annoyed that the led lighting on the board only comes in red but it can be turned off
For its price, easily one of the best for what it offers. Plenty of USB ports, Crossfire capability (I made the mistake of buying this without realising it doesn't support SLI. Oh well), optane-ready, NVME enable, plenty of SATA slots, plenty of case fan PWM headers. And the front panel connector headers adapter is VERY handy.
Only couple of issues with this motherboard for me. 1) First is the BIOS UI. Kind of tricky to navigate at first. Not very user friendly. But you'll just get used to it eventually.
2) The red ambient LED lighting is a nice touch but the pulse option and the music modes are not controllable. The LED pulse rate is fixed so you can't really get it to match your other LED components for instance. And the beta music beat LED mode flickers a bit too fast to my taste. So I just left mine either permanently on or off.
This Z270 features Smart Fan 5 witch keeps my cpu fine.It has Led Lights that make good combination with Zalman z11 plus case.
