For a while I've been debating on which GPU to pickup for this build. Considering the prices for GPUs are insane due to all the crypto mining craze AND expectations for the "1100 series" GTX to be released soon, it makes it hard for me to decide on what GPU to choose NOW.

In the end I decided to go with this particular model for a few reasons:

    1) it may be much longer than everyone thinks before the GTX 1100 series are available for purchase. 2) AMD RX and Vega cards cost much more than they are worth IMO. 3) I'll sale this card after picking up the new GTX 1100 card if its worth the trouble of upgrading.

    Pros:

    • Super quiet! Fans do not kick in until 60c and even when it does, it is still quiet
    • Aesthetically pleasing

    Cons:

    • BIG! The card is over 12" long. Any AIO setup for my case is not possible with this card
    • Software from Asus does not feel great. I only use it to setup the RGB light configurations and leave it off after setting it.
    • Expensive. If it weren't for the eBay 20% sale, I would not have considered it as it's far too expensive vs competitors.

65c under load with an OC, this card is great for anyone wanting a powerful but quiet build.

I use the silent profile and I don't even hear my gpu in most games. If you want 1080p 144hz ultra, you might want a different card. If you lower some settings then 144fps is doable. The gpu is pretty huge and I was a little worried about the clearance. It sags a little, but otherwise its fantastic.

I absolutely love this card. First off, it's a tank. The amount of overclocking you can do is insane. It can match a 1080 if you know what you're doing. Fan config works really well and this thing stays cooler than the 1060 6GB I used to have. Haven't run into something this cant play at 1440p 144Hz yet.

Bought this new from NewEgg for $365 as I was able to double it up with discounts with purchasing it trough Ebay. It was on sale for $429 from NewEgg and they posted the sale on Ebay and Ebay was running a %15 off coupon. This card is huge and weighs a ton. Getting a support bracket for it is almost mandatory. I ordered a $15 bracket off of amazon that supports it great. This card pushes VR Asetto Corsa with 0 issues - i have been able to run Doom in Ultra Settigns at 144fps 1080p and there are zero issues. RGB colors looks awesome - it stays super cool - A+++

Awesome looking and performing card. I'm not a fan of a ton of RGB stuff, but its there if you want, and looks great with it on or off. This thing is big, just keep that in mind. ASUS software is super easy to use, and the preset overclock works flawlessly. This handles nearly everything I have thrown at it so far on a 1440p 165Hz monitor. Love it. Awesome for anyone looking for a 1070ti.

    95 percent of the performance of a 1080 for $100 less; a no-brainer.

I mean if performs well, looks amazing. But if you change the color to white on most if not all asus strix cards have a purple-ish tone. which is pretty sad if you want to do a white build.

So good. The price / performance ratio is sweet. You can handle all the gaming like GTX 1080 paying so much less. It have that RGB looks everybody likes and all the VR, 4K features. I think it is the best deal.

Great card running average of 2000mhz stable and stays remarkably cool at full load. The only issue is the price although it's the same for most all graphic cards at the minute.
