no problems with install or start up. all connections were labeled clearly on the board and in the manual. no hiccups. a good choice if youre on the fence with say a z270-E strix board. you'll save a good 20 bucks or so without Bluetooth or built in wifi.

I was originally looking at the STRIX Z270E motherboard, but decided to switch to this as it was cheaper and I didn't need any of the extra features (built-in WiFi, Bluetooth Type-C connector) and wasn't particularly bothered by missing the IO shield and RGB. Works well, had no issues so far (although I have yet to try overclocking). Looks good and the connectors are all easy to access and clearly labelled.

I am personally a fan of ASUS, as they make quality products, and in the 5 years I have used several of their products, I have never once had an issue. I chose the 270H, as it has 2 more USB ports than the other motherboards in the price range, and Wi-Fi was not needed. It has a good, easy to work with BIOS, 2 M.2 slots, Memory speeds up to 3866MHz, and Gigabit LAN. An all around great motherboard for the price, and I've had great success with the several I've used.

It looks good in this white & black themed build and has all the features you need from a motherboard. Overclocking ability, HD audio, 2 M.2 slots, a fortified PCI slot for your big *** VGA and SLI support if you need it. Only downside imo: it's not ATX, the right side is shorter than normal. One bug I suspect could be the motherboards fault: I can't wake my PC from hybernating.

This motherboard was great until I tried to post RAM in it at a higher speed than 2666. I had to downgrade to the previous version of the Bios to be able to get the speeds that Asus claims this board supports.

Clunky UI, decent OC

Update: The newest version of the Bios seems to solve the issue I was having (1009).

This motherboard is kind of the bare bones version of the strix series boards. It's not bad if you can live without the extra bells and whistles (leds, asus aura support, onboard wifi/bluetooth). It is a good bargain though. I do have to point out that for whatever reason the current version of the bios (0906) will not post anything past 2666mhz ram. I had to downgrade to the previous version (0801) to be able to support my kit.
