Went with a Z370 chipset because it will allow me to easily upgrade to an unlocked processor in the future and it's the only chipset compatible with Coffee Lake available right now. Really nice motherboard. It's priced reasonably and comes with all the features you would expect on a premium motherboard.

A very feature rich mobo including wifi and bluetooth.

The new Z370 is mandatory for 8th gen Intel CPUs

Works, 8 USB ports at rear! CPU reaches to 4.7Ghz, and ram runs 300MHz! BIOS is easy to use. Bluetooth, WIFI all works as expected.

A vast improvement over another Z170M-ITX/dl board I have from Asrock. Similar macOS setup. EZ to use bios, NVMe on top, yadda yadda..

ASRock z370M-itx - I ran into one small problem here. I installed the CPU then went to install the RAM. But they are so close together I couldn't fit in the memory with it's bulky heat spreader. A quick solution was to remove the CPU, install the RAM first, then rotate the i5 stock fan so that the side with no extra clips was on the side with the RAM. It fits that way but I doubt it would any other way. My one pre-build concern was the Team Dark RAM. It showed up here as compatible but the specific size/brand was not listed on the supported list. Other 2x8 configurations were and other Team Dark were. It is up and running and recognized. I haven't checked specs on how well it's running yet.

BIOS is a very clean interface. Seems fairly user friendly. Recognized all of my components immediately.

Has everything I need. in my case the configuration was a bit weird for the front IO and the CPU cooler but other than that I love this Motherboard

from completed build Budget gaming on Coffee Lake

AsRock was timely to release a BIOS/UEFI fix for the Intel ME vulnerability. I am very impressed by that.

As far as the board goes, it gets the job done. The BIOS/UEFI is pretty good (the UI/UX is intuitive). This is a good board for someone looking to get into Coffee Lake.

ASRock's low-tier ITX mobo-- Doesnt have HDMI 1.4, and if you dont have a GPU, the max resolution and framerate this mobo will run is 4K @ 30fps. Has WiFi and Bluetooth though, which is nice. UEFI lacks a few features-- One being the ability to overclock on "All Core" mode. Overclocking is possible but dont expect to hit the highest potential of your CPU. Not a very visually pleasing mobo either. Does the job though.

I appreciate the amount of SATA ports and the inclusion of M.2. Great amount of USB 3 on board ports. Depending on what RAM and CPU Cooler you use, you could run into some overlap making you unable to install a stick in one of the two slots which is the only reason I'm docking it a star.
