As a first-time PC builder, installing all the components and mounting it was hassle free. Everything worked out of the box. Moderate price for a Z170 mobo, but one of the only ones with onboard LEDs if that's your fancy. I think the Aura lighting is a really cool touch that will help make your PC your own, and the software for controlling the LEDs is simple but does its job. Do note that you cannot (as far as I know) configure the LEDs to turn off when the computer shuts down; you can designate a separate lighting configuration for when powered off, but you'll have to decide on LEDs either always on or always off.

I'd rate it 5 stars, but mine has one issue where one of my header LEDs is stuck on blue all the time, so even if I pick a different color, one of the lights in that segment will stay blue. It works out though because I usually have them blue most of the time. Also the Supreme FX lights in the opposite corner from the Aura LEDs are only red, which slightly messes with the cool white/blue futuristic vibe I have going on. Overall still looks cool though, and if you like red then it'll be perfect for you.

A nice and stable board, no problems detecting hardware or running XMP profiles on it. The lighting is a nice touch, wish more parts of the board lit up.

I wanted a motherboard that wasn't black and red, so I went with this guy. The added aura lighting is a nice bonus but I already turned it off for now.

Took forever to find a motherboard that I liked that would more or less fit my color scheme, once I saw this one it was like love at first site.

This is the updated RGB version of the board and it is a fabulous board for the feature set and price. I would have liked an included shroud instead of having to 3D print one but other than this and my inability to turn off the RGBs when the PC is off, no complaints. Has a fantastic BIOS interface as well.

well, the RGB doesnt do it for me. the neutral black grey colour is worth more to me compared to the non aura

Awesome motherboard for the price. Looks amazing in all black. Asus' AI Suite III is amazing, automatically overclocked my CPU, GPU, RAM, and optimized fan speeds based on temperatures and other parameters. I/O has everything I could possibly need. Onboard audio is amplified and sounds nice with my higher impedance headphones. Only complaint is that the red audio lights don't turn off, and kind of ruin my color scheme.
