This is about as basic as DVD-RW drives get, but it works perfectly, so if you still use discs, there you go.

Still inside my pre-built, works well when used, which is almost never. These have kind of become obsolete, but can't complain of it's efficacy over the years when it was useful.

Un peu inutile en 2019 mais toujours utile d'en avoir un sous la main. Par exemple, plusieurs fabricants de composantes mettent les logiciels et driver sur le cd, il n'y a donc pas besoin d'aller les télécharger sur internet, surtout quand on a une connexion d'à peine 3 mégaoctet par secondes. (pas la fibre optique dans mon secteur et actuellement, les forfaits en fibres optiques coûtent trop cher.)

I could have left an optical drive off the build but I thought it'd be nice to have. Haven't used it yet but looks like it's working fine.

It's a disk drive. It has a black front for a bit more sleekness. It makes more noise than I'd like to hear.

Loud but for the price I can't complain too much. The customer likes to still burn CDs and watch movies.

Cheep but works well.
