Waited until January for the 1080 Ti - ended up (sadly) going with 2x titan xps. Very happy with performance, irregardless of price.

It's a good card, no 2 ways about it but the reference cooler is ****, it chokes the card pretty frequently and is definitely not value for money. I usually go with the ti release but gambled on this card since the ti release was nowhere in sight when I got this card in September. With the new Xp release, I feel completely screwed over since they sold me a 12 cylinder car with one cylinder turned off only to start selling the same thing with the full 12 cylinders 6 months later. I won't be buying a titan again. If AMD can deliver competition to this card, I would be happy to switch over.

the stock cooler is crap on the reference designed nvidia gpus unless you need the blower style fan

Oh where do I start. It's a monster. When I clicked "order' i thought "did i just make a pricey mistake?" I got to say I've been loving it. It gets very warm and I'd recommend water cooling it. Other than that its an awesome card.
