Solid mobo with clean looks and without some of the gimmicky features pushed by other brands. Not as many USB ports as the Z170-A but plenty for most people's needs. Very easy to use utilities and smooth driver installation.

Biggest selling point for me was the reliable and versatile fan control configurable from the BIOS or from the OS. Two CPU fan headers for dual fan coolers, a voltage-controlled header for a waterpump, and 4 chassis fan headers.

Easy to assemble with, only had trouble with 1 slot, the reset button on the front panel. The guy at Micro Center recommended this over the regular Z-170A, I forget the difference, does anyone know?

Great motherboard at low price with a few nice features. BIOS is beautiful and easy to use. Manuals make everything a breeze and made building go faster. No complaints here.

Black/White, Usb 3.1 and 3.0, and plenty of fan headers that I'll never use. Also capable of using an M.2 SSD in the future. BIOS is easy to use. Overall it is a good MOBO.

I wanted something rock solid and with the latest tech, but I didn't want to overpay for extra features. This board fit the bill. Easy to work with, and everything fired right up first time. Initially it wanted to hang on restart, but I updated the bios via USB and everything worked perfect from that point on. Avoid the asus bundle of crap software- it's easy to control fans and overclock in the bios. The only potential negative was a limited amount of available USB ports compared to some other boards. It's cheap/easy to add additional ones via brackets that attach to the motherboard, as seen in my photos.

Great motherboard... Easy to use interface....good looks. Wish it had more USB ports on the back.

BIOS may seem daunting at first, but it's very quick to learn and easy to use. Boot order gave me a bit of trouble however (not for long).

This MB has been super reliable, even when I downgraded BIOS to an old version to allow me to hackintosh my build. Never had an issue with it, would recommend this as one of the best MBs for this price bracket.

What other reviewers have mentioned about the cheap I/O shield are spot on - it provided about a minute of frustration before I was able to snap it properly into place. However after that the motherboard is great. Ran into some small issues trying to get it to recognize my Corsair DDR4-3200 RAM in XMP mode (it would run at 2133hz instead) - a Bios flash took care of the problem. For the price it's a great Mobo.
