Also scrapped a 500GB Caviar Blue from my old rig. Eh, fast enough and gets the job done.

Pulled this guy out of an older computer I was given. A little bit older, but I'm planning on getting a second identical one during Black Friday and RAID them. But so far, so good.

Changed Windows %temp% and my user profile directories over to this drive so the SDD wouldn't see as many read/writes hopefully.

Needed game storage. This should be enough for me.

3000-4000 hours on, running strong still.

It's a slower HDD, but because I got it with other crucial parts for only $50, I can't complain. It loads Windows 7 fast enough.

SuperM4Tanker 8 points 33 months ago

I use this drive as my main boot drive and it's fairly quick and has been working over a year now no issues

Could be faster, could be slower. Reliable if properly stored.
