Small and powerful. I was initially worried whether 3GB of VRAM would be enough but decided to go with it regardless. For 1080p/60fps gaming, this little beast is hitting everything I throw at it with ease.

3gb may hold back the power of the gpu depending on the game.

I chose the 3gb model because the 6gb is almost double price in our place vs the 3gb..
Pros: Works like a charm on 1080p max settings. In terms of price to performance on FHD resolution I think this is the best budget card to buy.
Cons: Card runs hot.. @ 80c on full load using furmark for 15mins.. Fan is abit loud too on 100% speed.

1-2% Performance difference compared to a duel fan gpu. No issues with cooling. hits 70C MAX on load with my case and fan setup. Overclocks nice and handles w.e I throw at it :)

I haven't run any benchmarks but it's 20x better performance than I was getting with my old Dell Inspiron laptop so that's good.

The GPU I have is actually the Zotac AMP! version of the GTX-1060 3GB card (not listed on PCPartPicker) in stead of the Mini. The AMP! is still pretty short for the case and has two fans (as opposed to the single fan of the Mini version). With slight modification of the fan curve (MSI Afterburner) it can be run at below 70 degrees Celsius during moderate gaming (Overwatch).
The Bloodstorm DX-11 benchmark (based on Final Fantasy XIV) pushes the GPU to 99% for extended periods, but the temperature maxed out at 76C. The CPU didn't break a sweat and stayed below 53C. This is with room temperature around 19C and baseline operation temps for both CPU and GPU at 25C. The benchmark score was comfortably over 10,000 (extremely high) at 1920x1080 "Maximum" settings. In hotter rooms and with more demanding games, you'll obviously run up against the 80C limit during long gaming sessions. It is probably unreasonable to ask more from a passively cooled SFF for that use case, though.

It's a graphics card. Powers through games quite nicely and the Geforce Experience makes recording a breeze when I'm too lazy to boot up OBS. the GTX 1060 is definitely a good middle ground card for when you want to game well but don't want to shell out 300-400 dollars on a 1070 or 1080. The one downside with this card is that the fan on it is kinda pitiful and struggles to keep the GPU cool when doing hard gaming sessions, however it has had no noticeable thermal throttling even when playing Forza Horzion 4 and GTA5.

I got it for a steal, at the time it was the cheapest 1060 I could find. I was originally worried that 3GB wouldn't be enough, however, I can play at medium to high settings at 1080p on most games now at 60~FPS. I didn't really succeed in the silicon lottery and barely got any overclock, but it is possible. This card has served me well for the past year and a half, and its small size will aid in small builds.
