WD Black is a step up from Blue, which was always good enough for my needs, so this was a why-not proposition when I saw it used for cheap.

Between my husband and I we've had five of these and only one had died in 8 years. Not bad at all. This one is sharing a 60GB cache SSD

It's... fine? Good for a build if you have one lying around like me, but I would not go out of your way for an old HDD like this.

Not worth the extra price you'd normally pay for it, but like most WD drives has been fast and dependable.

Has been working ok for almost 6 years. Noisy when seeking/writing data, noisiest I've had so far but gets the job done.
I personally do not bother much about the seek noise since it is used just to store backups and media files for video production.

Getting on for something like 8 years old I think and still working perfectly. Not much more I can say than that!
