from completed build Ilka's gaming rig
It works. nothing else to note on this hdd.
from completed build AM4 7700XT Build
Had one in my old dell prebuilt for nearly 5 years, still runs strong today. Without an OS on it, everything is nice. I recommend using two of these in a parity partition for games you don't need to run at NVMe speeds.
from completed build Project Precision (My new PC)
Same here. I salvaged this from my old PC, and it's nothing special. 1TB is still plenty for file, app, and game storage, which is what I use this one for.
from completed build New Build (2025 AMD)
Bottom tier storage for games. This came from a Dell xps from 2014 and keeps following me around.
from completed build Starkiller base
Great for storing videos, but not for gaming.
from completed build Mission: Bottleneck
Simple 1TB HDD, was good value and works fine.
from completed build My first major upgrade (built in 2020)
When I first got this in 2015 this hard drive was a mainstay for bulk storage. It is probably still one of the best 1 TB HDDs value wise, but no one should probably be buying those anymore for new builds.
from completed build From Pre-Built to Custom
The additional 1TB SATA drive provides ample storage capacity, making it perfect for efficiently saving my game videos and clips.
from completed build My PC (Retired)
Pulled this from my old Dell Inspiron 3847 when it stopped working. Can be a little slow, but I got the computer for free so it doesn't matter to me.
from completed build Red Hood (Spring 2024 Gaming PC Build)
Ol' Reliable. Have had this HDD for almost 10 years and it still runs as my backup drive.
