Cheap, and it reads disks. Op Success.

Nothing special here really, it just does what a CD drive is suppose to do, it reads pretty fast. i don't really use CD drives that much anyways.

I can't get my old head around why people wouldn't need an optical drive. Haven't the kids today heard of CDs and DVDs? Why this model? Everyone else got one.

Does what it's supposed to.

I only used this once to install the OS, and I have to say it works fine, but is extremely uncomfortable loud like it is about to explode. I had to leave the room for the duration of the OS installation because I got uneasy of the sound.

Acquired from local PC repair/electronics shop. Used for installing older games from CD/DVD and for watching movies, documentaries, storing data on DVDs. Does what it's supposed to.
