I use these to store finished projects as well as my library of audio books and reference files.
from completed build Absolute Z E R 0 - Dual Custom Loop
I have a ton of games and finished animation work in this tiny drive. Fast, problem free, and fits snuggly in the back.
from completed build NR200 5900x + 3080 Mini ITX build
As far as SATA SSDs go, this is one of the fastest. You can go larger capacity at the moment with the 8TB QVO line, but the performance may suffer.
from completed build Proteus
Used for entertainment, work, and gaming. Works very well.
from completed build USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D)
Salvaged from my XPS 15 9560, nice life expectancy for a Evo disk.
from completed build The Dimension Tripper
massive space with decent speeds.
from completed build i9-9900K | 64GB 3200 | RX 5600 XT | Silent iMac Pro Killer
Fast and reliable SSD. Around 450MB/s write speed, and 550MB/s read speed. For larger drives like this, the price-to-performance variable makes M.2 drives like the 4TB Sabrent Rocket a much more compelling buy in my book.
from completed build WEST 99
High endurance 2400TBW, fast 500MB/s R&W SATA-based SSD. Up against competition from Sabrent, ADATA, Crucial, and SANDisk, well, these Samsung drives start to feel significantly overpriced. Samung quality remains undeniable as they source very high quality ICs and other components, but a 4TB TLC SSD should not cost $650 in 2020. I managed to snag two for roughly $400 each, which is a pretty good deal. Samsung Magician software provides an easy way for updating firmware and the Migration software is useful for cloning your OS. I love Samsung solid state drives. They can be a great consumer option, but with their prices inflated so unreasonably high above market value I cannot continue to recommend them in good conscience for the average consumer. Still, if you choose to forego the inflated cost and purchase an EVO drive anyways, then you will likely be very pleased with the speed, quality, and reliability of the 860 EVO.

These are awesome. From a pure user experience, I can tell you load times in games are so much faster! Playing a highly modded game like SKYRIM using 7200RPM HDD would take forever to load between scenes. Switching to SSD, load times in SKYRIM were cut significantly. These are very expensive . . . I am running outta space, so contemplating my next SSD upgrade . . .
