I’m a Crucial customer for life. Crucial’s client service is based out of Idaho, so if you need to call you will typically get a pleasant woman speaking in clear English; quick story!
I had memory go bad. I called, and they sent replacement memory without question (I had to front the money, but it was reimbursed when they received the bad sticks). I did not have to go through an onerous troubleshooting process once I told them I had already run the sticks through Memtest. One of the replacement sticks was bad, and I exchanged that one, too. They overnighted it to me at no charge this time. This is memory I bought back in 2008 that still runs well today (or up until a week ago until I built this new machine). I've since built two more computers and upgraded three laptops with Crucial memory, not including this one.
Got this 16gb kit for super cheap. Its RAM, it does its job and Crucial is always good.
What can I say, it's RAM. It just works.
It's ram fam.
Also I made a mistake when I noticed I bought (1x16) of ram instead of (2x8) but it's no biggie.
RAM is RAM and 16gb gives me a sizeable desk space increase.
Fast and, with XMP enabled on the motherboard, operates at full capacity and speed with no issues.
Does what it should
Great RAM, that's all I can say.
It's RAM, it works at intended speeds, not much to complain about. It looks sleek and matches most PC color patterns (if you're going for a color theme). The reason I take away a star is because of the soaring price of RAM over the past few months. In July, I could have gotten this exact kit for around 50 bucks, but, as of Christmas 2016 when I put the build together, I had to pay 90 bucks! The companies blame it on silicon shortage, but I don't buy it- Silicon is basically sand. How can you run out of sand? All of the experts I've discussed this with agree with me 100%. Hopefully AMD's new releases will end the stagnation of computer technology and bring some competition back to the industry!
No complaints here...
