Strongly recommend this case! Great looks and functionality.
Most smexy case in the market imo. That 3mm aluminum on all sides makes it very sturdy as well. It's a joy working with this case a a first time builder.
I had high hopes for this case. Aesthetically it's everything that I wanted and nothing I didn't. However, on the inside were some of the same quality issues I saw on my $40 corsair case. The metal is very thin in the expansion slot area and flexible on the motherboard tray. I have a 280mm radiator in the top as an intake (intake: 2x140 in the front and 280mm rad up top ; exhaust: 140 at the rear and the PSU is fan up as an extra exhaust) which was easy to install thanks to the removable mount at the top. Over all I had very high hopes for a case that costs almost $200 usd and I was a little disappointed to the same shortcuts taken to save on production costs.
Expensive but worth it. Not as heavy as my old haf932 and looks beautiful. Lots of space and options to work with. Cable management is perfect with large space in the back for cables and the included accessories give you the ability to do everything with the case. In the back it has nice slots of ssds, the doors come off without any screws and the large window is amazing for showing off your rig.
My final choice after some pondering. Really good looking, fingerprint safe (barring the window) and with the practical utility box for parts. The Phanteks sticker on the PSU cover keeps dropping of but thats a minor gripe.
Wonderful case, doesn't have any 5.25" expansion bays, but the case made me realize that those are obsolete today anyways. Steve Jobs took the first step into getting rid of those, and so far so good. We don't want to be running on floppy drives for ever, do we?
Tempered glass along the metallic anthracite body is a marvel, and the cable management is as easy as it can get with the Velcro straps included. Even the toolbox with the screws looks premium. Very good deal, a market-breaker.
This case was a dream to build in. It was pricey, but that money clearly goes into thoughtful design and quality materials.
Unless you're doing an all water-cooled build, this case is horrible, as I've found out most Phanteks cases are. This was my second case I ever bought and before air flow was even a thought, of which there is nil in this hot box. If you don't care or are running a very low-power, low-stress system, go ahead and get it for the sleek look. If you have more than two fans (and even then that's iffy, considering the top has two half-inch gutter-like ventilation vents, nothing more). It's pretty horrible to be frank, outside of anything aesthetic.
