No issues so far running the Ryzen 7 2700 (upgrade from a 1700) . Decide for the non X since I am overclocking it.

I chose this CPU so I don't have to upgrade any time soon, and I didn't go for the 2700X because I think it's not worth the extra bucks when you have a decent cooler and an overclocking capable motherboard, and with the Noctua NH-D15, I do have room to overclock the CPU when I'll need it a little more power.

Runs like a champ, saw no use for the x model and just starting to overclock the knickers off it

Great CPU! I am just using the stock cooler, but it still performs really good. My main use is video editing, and it gets the job done quickly.

Pros:

Works great

Comes with a decent cooler in the box

Great value vs current Intel 8th gen offerings at the time of purchase

Cons:

None that I've found so far

Great CPU, easy to overclock to 4.0GHz with stock cooler.

AMD yes! Same level of performance vs Intel with cheaper cost. Just a little less efficiency in terms of energy cost.

I am absolutely loving the performance this 8 core/16 thread cpu is offering. It deals every game with Very High settings, 1080P at 80 fps+. The rgb cooler is also pretty cool to look at if you have a windowed build. Too bad I had a non-window pc.

Thank you AMD! This processor is great for gaming and amazing with productivity! Better yet, I got it on sale for $220 at the time!
