Would love to give 5 starts but that isnt possible, the IO shield is absolutely dreadful. There are little sticky out bits that make it impossible to put the motherboard in place and aligned, i tried for about 20 minutes before having to bend them so that i could actually get the motherboard in the case. It is an absolutley gorgeus motherboard though. the USB 3.0 front panel header is awkwardly placed, so i have a thick wire running on top of the psu shroud. Last point is that the onboard lighting doesnt turn off when the computer is shut down, and i cant seem to get it to synchronise with my LED strips with asus aura

This motherboard works really good. It has a nice bios, its easy to install and looks really nice. The LED lighting on the side I/O shield has 4 customize-able lighting zones which really add to the aesthetics. I initially wanted to get the Z270E, but it got shipped too late and there was a strict deadline I had so I had to get this one instead through Prime (the Z270E was out of stock.). The only con is that for nearly the same price as the Z270E, it has no wifi/BT. There was only a $5 difference between the two when I purchased it and that had WiFi while this didn't, which made no sense.

Great board. Hooked it up to my case (p400s TG) with a phanteks AURA adapter so now control all my lights from the motherboard. Runs my 3000mhz ram and my 6700k mildly overclocked(4.6ghz) with no problems. I love the level of control this board gives me over my fans and settings. Ive set my fans to stop when the PC is not under load (chrome etc.) and come back on when I hit around 45-50 degrees which is not only silent but ensures positive air pressure to keep the dust out.

Good motherboard for the new Intel CPUs, especially useful with the dual M.2 slots for my 2 SSDs.

Awesome mobo looks great tons of options but unless you turn the leds off in software even when pic is off th leds enter their stock strob and light up the room.

Decent Z270 board. I got a great deal on it so I can't complain however I do prefer the Aorus boards

I have no complaints, other than I wish it had more USB 3.0 ports. This baby accommodated all my needs during my build and I still have an extra RGB header to sync up some more lights later down the road.

The motherboard is beautiful and the BIOS is well done. But man, Aura, please explain that, it's completely dysfunctional, you must have the chance to get the right combination of versions between Aura and the BIOS, and even there, your settings will disappear at random times. They don't even offer the means to import a configuration to go faster when their stuff crashes. Finally, the ports in the back are misaligned with the shield, and this isn't a fault of installation. Fortunately, the shift is small and inserting one cable by forcing is enough to re-align the whole.
