Very quite and quicker than I expected at the spin speed, perfect for my needs as media streaming storage.

I got this accidently but it is great, except the fact that it's slower than the Seagate Barracuda 2tb.

Just some 2TB Storage

Not the fastest thing ever but it's cheap with 2TB of space.

theoisadoor 7 points 11 months ago

Surprisingly fast for a slower spin rate than other Hard Drives, but still is incredibly fast. Barracuda 2TB is a faster HDD, but this is cheaper and still runs incredibly well. Definitely recommended for Media Storage or a NAS, or for large directory of game files.

Really reliable so far. Mine is a 7200rpm one not a 5400rpm...

Great boot up times for games for an HDD and ran my old windows with great boot up times as well

WD is still a strong name for a reason.

Being that the main use for this build is photo editing, I went with 2tb drives over 1 as a fail safe. I do have multiple backups of everything but I much rather have two separate drives rather than one partitioned drive.

Can't beat the classic blue(when it comes to HDDs)
