Again had to buy because the LAN port on my MOBO gave out on me. Works perfectly fine and didn't cost an arm and a leg. I've bought quite a few of TP-Links products, and they make some good stuff in my opinion

Fast , cheap, and low profile. still doesn't cap out my connection, but it gets close enough.

from completed build My first custom build :)

A good, functional Ethernet adapter that provides 1 Gigabit speed. There are indicator lights on the face plate that indicate the connection speed (10 Megabit, 100 Megabit, or 1 Gigabit). The card fit well and the driver loading was easy. A driver disk was provided along with a set-up instruction sheet. It is reliable and trouble-free. I highly recommend this card.

My VM's now have 1 GBit connection to rest of my network and helps a lot to reduce load on my main network card.
