If you do not have the money for a SSD get this. It takes a while to learn which programs you run the most and slot them in the SSD portion of the drive. Pretty zippy but not a true SSD. This will be the storage drive when the SSD arrives.

Some of the best money I put into the build. Plugged it in and it loads like a champ. Windows 8.1 in 5 seconds.

I get a boot up time of around 10~25sec with just corsair utility engine

Works like it needs to, and my boot time is down to about 30 seconds.

If you can't swing a SSD right of the bat use this hybrid till you can then convert it to a backup.

It has a lot of storage, and the SSD part of it is very fast. My only complaint is that it makes it sound like there is a thunderstorm at my desk sometimes.

Great product... it's really quiet

Woody1999 53 points 43 months ago

Plenty fast, boots my Windows 10 Home in 11 seconds. Plenty of storage, 1TB is more than I'll ever need. Will remain my primary boot drive for a long time.

It works. If you have the cash set up a RAID with an SSD instead.
