Works well, a little hard to clean out, but has been reliable.

Despite the horrendous installation process this cooler is pretty nice.

I can not comment on the cooling by default as I replaced the stock fan with 2x 120mm Delta Fans which are 240CFM each. I control them with a 6 fan controller that supports 60W per channel, but I could not find a link for the one I have so its not on the listing. With 1-2 of these fans this cooler is BEAST! I have never had to turn the fans up from the lowest setting even when playing Fallout 76 on full screen via my 50" TV which is the display used for gaming, and my 32" currently is for my OBS stream setup. I sometimes play other games but Fallout 76 is what I have played most last few months.

from completed build My budget dream build.

Old school cooler but for my purposes, worked really well. I'm not super flashy and as long as my game is looking good I don't honestly have time to look at my case LEDs. Using it in a BeQuiet Pure base 600 case and keeps the 5600X around 60C under sustained load. Not too loud either but that could be because of the case.

I didn't want to overpay for a big beefy CPU cooler which I might not even use up, so went for best value and most popular option 212. Sadly after 4.4 GHz OC the fans had to spin a bit too fast for my liking to keep everything cool and later had to upgrade to Scythe Ninja 5. But 212 evo still stays as one of the best value CPU coolers.
