Great supply, but for $135 it should be. The modular plugs worked perfectly, and all the cabling I'm not using is in a bag in a storage drawer, and not junking up the inside of the case.
The fan is inaudible, and the thing is not noticeably warm when the unit is running. My system TDP is 405 W, so I hope this supply is enough if I decide to add another GTX-950, and a few more hard drives. If not I'll step up to a higher power EVGA platinum supply.
I wanted a highly efficient power supply with a good warranty and this one was just right. It has enough power for my build.
I got this 750W Platinum version for a steal! EVGA P2 series is fantastic, as a power electronics engineer I understand the importance of clean and efficient power delivery and boy this thing delivers. The packaging when I opened it was incredible...felt like I was opening some golden unit or something haha...nice experience!
You'll see in the pictures I've got an EVGA SuperNOVA 650GS box, but after testing it the fan was bad and I returned it. Since a 750w PSU was recommended for the R9 390 (despite many people having no issues with 600-650w PSUs) I went ahead and got one just in case. The P2 was only $6 more than the G2, so I went with that. I love it. The build quality is impeccable and it's silent.
Overall quality is an A++ however there's a slight drawback if you choose to use the included cabling, they are rather stiff, on the short side, and getting some of the connectors to hook up to the PSU was slightly challenging.
Works as intended. Eco mode makes the fan not run unless under a load.
Not much to say, its a high quality fully modular power supply. Didn't want to go cheap here, so I went with EVGA's Platinum series. Great for now, but I'll need to replace in a few years if I wanna go SLI for 4k or when games get more demanding.
Really high quality fully modular power supply. The cables are all black and the mobo power cables are sleeved. The cables were really stiff on mine but had no problems with any of them.
In my opinion no need to buy 1000 - 1500 watts Power supply if you dont have 3-4 SLI also they are expensive but quality and stability soo important thats why i choose +80 platinium product and EVGA no need to say about Evga quality..
wanted a well reviewed power supply and long warranty
Finally received my 20 $ mir check from EVGA about 2-3 months after sending the paperwork
