Great card, I think its the cheapest GTX 1070 you can get so far!
Have been really impressed with this card. As mentioned above, I was concerned with the blower style but it runs everything I throw at it very well. Running it overclocked through the Asus GPU Tweak software, it usually hangs around 67c while playing Battlefield 1 maxed out at 2048x1152@60hz. Curious to see how it does when I upgrade to ultrawide or 1440p.
I plan on getting a 1080Ti when they release in a few months so I wanted a "cheap" 1070 to hold me over until then. I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this card but I'm pleasantly surprised. I had fears of it making some whine noises after reading other reviews but I've done multiple benchmark tests and played a lot of games and I've yet to hear anything like that. The one downside to the card is what you'd expect - fan noise. At 100% they're definitely noticeable but luckily not so annoying. The +200 core clock and +500 memory bus block modifiers have performed flawlessly and I plan on pushing it further in the coming weeks. Works great in my mATX case.
As most 1070 builds say, it is one of the best products when it comes to performance and price. I'm currently playing Overwatch most and I'm able to sustain 150fps on Ultra. Game looks absolutely beautiful.
A little louder than I would like, not really that loud, but because of the Blower configuration should be useful when I pop a second GPU into my case. I have no complaints about its actual graphical performance.
Simply put, a beast.
Also it's carbon black, and it has a rear blower so it works well in my mini ITX.
When I bought this, it was on sale at Amazon for Prime members for $452 CAD, a price I've never seen before or since up here. I guess I went shopping for it on the right day. There are better versions of course but for the price I paid I am not complaining.
Everything I have runs smooth as silk.
Probably overkill since I game on a 1080p monitor, but I wanted something that would last me a while. I was able to combine some discounts to bring the price down closer to an (overpriced) RX 580. I've heard people don't care for the blower-type fans, but I find it to be very quiet, and the card kicks some serious butt, so I'm happy.
It's not the best partner GPU by any means but if you want a cheaper (this term will not apply for a while) blower-style GPU, this version does just fine. For the most part, at least after reading about how bad it was by a fair amount of people, it's exceeded my expectations by a good margin. It can get a bit hot, to be sure, but fan curve adjustment isn't hard and doing that helps out bunches.
No backplate, which is kind of a bummer, but after a modest overclock, very satisfied with temps and performance.
