The GTX 960 is at the best price/feature point among all Nvidia cards and excellent for CUDA development (1024 cuda cores). This is a factory-overclocked card, which is a plus. We did not consider ATI for obvious reasons. One card we disable on xorg.conf for CUDA development and the other for X work. Under windows we can play Battlefield under SLI at full speed.
Got The Witcher 3 for free with this card.. Just gotta wait for it to come out
Was only $185 on both NewEgg and Amazon with a $20 rebate. Great deal for a GPU that's great for gaming in 1080p. Not really a CON of this card, but the one on NewEgg comes with a free copy of Metal Gear Solid V while the one on Amazon does not... be sure to read item description so you get one with a free game.
great card runs every game 100 fps plus
Immediately after ordering this off of Newegg, I saw the 4GB model from Gigabyte for 15 dollars more. This card doesn't have any side lighting though. It's really annoying. May SLI in future.
RRP £15 cheaper and this would be one of the best performing graphics cards you can by but its overshadowed by AMD's R9 380 which if you look can be bought for pretty much same amount.
But this overclocks for fun, uses very little power, excellent idle power. The biggest Pro is Nvidia Shadowplay, too much performance is lost when recording unless you can afford external kits but Nvidias onboard decoder works exceptionally well especially compared to AMD's version.
Gets me good frame rates in games and is so quiet I cant hear it. Using MSI Afterburner to overclock the card is also extremely easy even if it is your first build.
Has a little coil whine when fps skyrockets but otherwise performs well and is quiet.
I LOVE this GPU.
I have this card overclocked at 1411MHx on the core and 3758MHz on the memory. At full load it never heard above 53 and idles at 26. Never hear the fans with my custom fan curve.
