from completed build Now That's What I Call Skylake!

One of the best mATX motherboard for skylake on the market. It has everything that I need. The only problem is that it can't detect the temperature of the GPUs. Since I don't have a fan controller, the PWM fans can only change their speed depend on the CPU temperature. I have to turn up the fans manually when gaming.

Very stable, very powerful board and looks amazing.

Looks great, works great. Make sure you update the BIOS 1st. Any bad reviews or comments i've seen have been related to prior BIOS versions (including the BIOS tie-in with AI Suite).....ONLY problem I had was the M.2 standoff is extremely fragile aluminum. Be extremely careful tightening it down. You cannot torque it down like essentially every other screw (steel, larger threads too) in a computer build...you WILL break it. Its not a product flaw IMO, just reality & I wanted to point this out. You've been warned. I had to epoxy my standoff together (I read its basically impossible to get Asus to send a replacement) after barely any force...So, fight the urge to "snug" it tight 1/10 turn more like I did :)

Pretty good board, just be careful with the PCIe slots and m.2 slots being so close together. The outside PCIe slot is 8x, not 16x.

Great mobo in such a small package. Lots of fan connections to play with, makes it super easy to overclock, I've always trusted Asus quality. My only issue is that the two PCI-E slots are a little too close together for the 2 R9 390s I had, which is why I switched to the 980Ti's.

All-in-all it seems like a really good board. It's packed with features, and the BIOS is really easy to navigate. The bundled Windows software is a bit hit-and-miss, and if you use the 5 stage tuning feature in AI Suite, it seems to ignore your settings (e.g. if you tell it to tune all cores the same, it still tunes them individually, and they all have different clock speeds). I tried using it for a while, and then gave up and returned to the BIOS.

I also had an issue with the Thermaltake Riing fans using this board. They wouldn't remember the colour and speed settings, and after digging/asking around, I determined that the fan headers didn't supply enough power to allow the Thermaltake controller to remember its settings. So I ended up buying a molex to fan adapter, and going straight into the PSU.

On a side note, I was a little disappointed with the condition of the boards when they arrived. I ended up sending 2 back due to them having noticeable scuffs on the heat-sinks, and the chrome bits had what looked like splatter marks on. They were purchased from totally different vendors too, so it seems to me like there's an issue either with QC at the factory, or transporting the goods to the UK?

Lots of granular overclocking features. Really stable - no complaints. The accessories included with this board was also very nice. The included adapter really cleans up those front I/O wires.

Great MOBO I love the easy click BIOS or the option to go to more advanced settings. I love the lighting on the MOBO and the features, I am struggling to utilize the software and problem solving and searching is slow mostly just the AI suite having issues with once I have it worked out wont be a problem just not a fan of utilizing 3 pieces of software to control fan speed in windows and monitor temps and performance.

Just like the CPU, I'm extremely impressed at what this board has to offer. Changing how everything works is very simple and mostly automated, and it's nice to be able to use a mouse in the BIOS. And of course the board itself looks slick.

Now I'm only looking forward because I don't care who is behind me.
